Internet Governance Capacity-Building

Getting more involved with the Internet Governance ecosystem in 2018, I was truly fortunate to have been selected as a Fellow for the Inaugural North American School of Internet Governance (NASIG), in March of 2018 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and for the Second Cyber South School of Internet Governance (CyberSSIG) in May 2018 in Washington, DC. Both fellowships have been incredibly useful, not just as opportunities for growth and networking, but also great capacity-building experiences.

Alongside Anna Loup, PhD student at USC’s Annenberg School, I co-founded the At-Large North American Graduate Student (NAGS), an At-Large structure, created to promote and support the work of graduate students in the At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

In 2019, with Franco Giandano, I co-created the Wasabi Brothers collective. The Wasabi Brothers project is a nascent platform for the future of Internet Governance, by injecting consciousness and a twist of fun into the space. Stay tuned to our website and Twitter for more.

In 2021, after being an involved participant, I joined the Executive Committee of Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group at ICANN.
