Research Sprint

In August 2020, I was selected to be a Fellow, part of the inaugural Research Sprint “Ai and Content Moderation” from the Ethics of Digitalization project created by the Network of Centers, and housed at the Humboldt Institute for Institute and Society (Berlin). Because of the pandemic, the Research Sprint happened virtually.

The first output of my time at the Humboldt Institute is a blog post for the Digital Society blog, titled Don’t break up Facebook, make it more transparent, also available, partly in German, as Facebook nicht zerschlagen, sondern transparenter machen, here.

The culmination of my work at the Humboldt Institute is this policy brief, co-authored with Hannah Bloch-Wehba and Angelica Fernandez, titled MAKING AUDITS MEANINGFUL Overseeing the Use of AI in Content Moderation.
